This is a free, open WEB site that offers reading, publishing, diffusion and debate of Poetry -- nonprofit, without any commercial bonds and showing no advertising -- born from the fusion between The Poetry Section of Casa da Cultura ("The Home of Culture") and the Poesia Viva (www.poesiaviva.org) Web Site. Our primary goal is to offer to the visitors of Casa da Cultura -- either by on-line reading, or by e-books -- a vast spectrum of works of contemporary Poets and Poetesses of Portuguese Language. The site, nevertheless, offers, many other resources, among which: a world wide link section to other poetry related sites, organized by theme, language and country; collection of articles on the theme: "What is Poetry?"; collection of articles on other themes related to poetics and poetic art, including poetry translation, poetry reviews & critics, studies on verse and metric, linguistical essay, historical and philosophical essays related to poetry, manifests and opinions.
